1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Math Visualizer (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. We may update these Terms; continued use constitutes acceptance.

2. The Service

Math Visualizer provides interactive mathematical visualization tools for geometry, algebra, and calculus. The Service includes:

• Web-based tools at mathvisualizer.com and subpaths
• Embeddable iframe versions for third-party sites
• Documentation, examples, and educational content

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

3. Free use

The core tools are free for personal, educational, and non-commercial use. No account, payment, or registration required. "Non-commercial" means you're not charging access to the tools themselves or wrapping them in a paid product without a license.

4. Embedding

You may embed our tools on your website, blog, LMS, or documentation using the provided iframe snippets, subject to:

• Attribution: Keep the "Math Visualizer" logo/link visible in the embed footer.
• No modification: Don't strip branding, inject scripts, or alter the tool's behavior.
• Reasonable use: Don't embed at scale (e.g., thousands of pages) without contacting us.
• Commercial sites: If your site is primarily commercial (SaaS, course platform, publisher), contact us for a free embed license — we'll grant it, we just want to know.

5. Content license

Our original educational content (guides, examples, blog posts) is licensed under CC BY 4.0 — share and adapt freely with attribution. The tool code, UI, and branding are not open source; they remain our property.

6. Prohibited uses

You may not:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download tools or content
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the rendering engine
• Resell access to the tools or bundle them in a paid product
• Use the Service for illegal activities or to generate harmful content
• Impair service availability (DoS, excessive automated requests)
• Remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or attribution notices

7. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties — express or implied — about accuracy, reliability, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose. Mathematical visualizations are educational aids; verify critical calculations independently.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Math Visualizer and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed $100 USD.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of the Service, your embeds, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes resolve in California state or federal courts.
